The Story
Airviewonline is a long standing client with Simplex Software, and in late 2020 came to us with the idea to convert the convert the website to a subscription model. Subscription models have a number of benefits such as increased customer lifetime value, increased monthly recurring revenue, more predictable income and an overall increase in business value.
The Challenge
Transform Website to Subscription Model
Airviewonline is a custom built the website which meant that we would need to build out the subscription integration from scratch so that it can integrate to the rest of their systems.
The various systems included photo collections, shortlists, image credits, image editors and the different levels of user access.
When building out a new subscription integration it is critical to consider key elements of the user experience such as:
- Email Sequences (e.g. Cart Abandonment Sequences)
- Failed Payment Conditions
- Running out of Credits
- Upsells
- Fail-safe measures with Payment Gateways
- Modifications to Subscription plans
- Handling Free Trials
As part of the subscription, we also built out Image Editing functionality with the ability for users to apply corporate branding to their images.
Simplex Software also were engaged to integrate Property Trend data for hundreds of suburbs around Australia and over 80,000 aerial images powered by an API.

The Result
In Q1 2021, Airviewonline was relaunched with its upgraded subscription model, since then it has begun attracting new clients totheir amazing offer and the platform upgrade is being seen as a success.
